Parametric installation for Gobektasi at METU Architecture Faculty

A parametric installation proposal for the hall of METU Architecture Faculty called
Göbektaşı.

System looks for the possible combinations of a hanging unit. Grid casette system on the ceiling creates a reference system and algorithm creates a random hang using the parameters of height, opennes and human existence.

Design that will be the installation above the skylight aims to enpower this qualities inside of Göbektaşı place in our faculty. Expressing the idea of the coming nature from skylight and sprawl in the build enviroment should be a main concept of the project. And our design is a representation of this metaphor.

Flexibility is main intention by creating this moduler panelled chain that enable people to add, chance or hang something on it. Also, weather condion could be felt due to its dynamic structure.
